Managing Director

Dominic Speller BEng (Hons) CEng FICE FIStructE

  • Dominic is a Chartered Civil & Structural Engineer & has over 25 years’ experience in Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy. CWT provide professional expert advice to homeowners, private individuals, commercial organisations, local authorities, main contractors, & other built environment professionals. In the past Dominic was a Director & equity partner of a successful, medium sized, London based consultancy for over 10 years, as well as working an Independent Consulting Engineer for private clients.

    Dominic has been with the practice since 2018, became a Director and equity partner in 2020 and Managing Director in 2022 following a successful acquisition of the business.

Consultant

Graeme C Ward IEng IMIStructE

  • Graeme is an Incorporated Structural Engineer with over 50 years of experience across a wide range of structural engineering projects. Graeme completed his initial training with process engineering companies and engineering consultants. Early experience and involvement with design and construction in the pretrochemical industry included many types of structures and foundations together with, industrial buildings, roads and commissions overseas.

    Since 1983 Graeme has works for engineering consultants and has been associated with the design of housing, commercial developments, refurbishments, and restoration of historic buildings. In more recent years subsidence in the south east has involved an increase in preparation of structural reports and underpinning schemes. Throughout this period with consultants he has managed to maintain an association with projects in the petrochemical industry.

Neil Winfield BEng CEng MIStructE

  • Neil is a Chartered Structural Engineer and has over 30 years’ experience in Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy, particularly in Essex and Southeast of England. Neil has extensive experience in all forms of Commercial, Domestic, Industrial and Educational building including Basements and contractors’ temporary works designs. Neil is adept in structural design of all materials including, timber, masonry, steel, and concrete frames and is also a certified NHBC designer, for new build timber frame dwellings, as well as undertaking sun-structure designs for all forms of foundation solutions and geotechnical conditions. Neil works closely with clients, contractors’ and developers to ensure the relationship are professional and any queries/concerns are dealt with swiftly to avoid any project delays.

    In the past Neil has been a Director of a successful, medium sized, Essex based consultancy for 8 years, and bring with him a wealth of experience in structural engineering consultancy. Neil joined CWT in March 2022 as an Associate Director.

Project Engineer

Dara Wylie BSc, BEng

  • Dara has a background in infrastructure and highways engineering having worked for a number of years for engineering consultancies in Ireland prior to moving to the UK. Dara joined CWT in October 2021 as a Project Engineer assisting the Directors with all aspect of structural design and project management. Dara now undertakes the production of structural design calculations and drawing work on AutoCAD. Dara is also a Graduate Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers is working towards her professional qualifications.

Administration & Office Management

Sarah Speller

  • Sarah brings with her extensive administration & office management skills having work for many years in the estates departments and facilities management roles at a local MOD site managing all aspects of new incoming enquiries, ongoing maintenance contracts, works orders, property defects and database management.

    Sarah joined CWT in 2020 and deals with new enquiries, general company administration, company databases and archiving.

Project Technician

Brendon Wheatley BEng (Hons)

  • Brendon joined CWT in Jan 2024 as Project Technician. Brendon is a highly experienced structural CAD technician, bringing with him a wealth of experience gained over a 20+ year career working for both Civil and Structural Engineering consultants and contractors in the UK and South Africa. Brendon is fully conversant with both permanent works and temporary works requirements and is competent in the production of RC detailing, steel detailing, general arrangement project drawings and as-builts. In addition to this, in recent years Brendon has completed a BEng (Hons) degree in engineering and is now able to prepare structural calculations and undertaking site surveys and inspections. This multi-faceted skill set, has allowed Brendon to quickly become a highly versatile member of our professional team who is able to provide project input and support the Senior management of the business.

    Brendon also holds a number of Autodesk AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation qualifications and certificates.

Finance & Office Management

Angela Winfield FIAB, FIAAP

  • Angela joined CWT in February 2024 in the role of Financial and Office management, Angela brings with her over 25yrs of experience in Credit control, accounts administration, book keeping, and general business financial management. Angel has worked for a number of local companies in financial controller positions, and as well as running her own booking business Angela currently volunteers as the chair of governors at a local senior school. Angela currently runs our internal finance systems and provides support in maintaining our CRM and the general smooth running of the office.
